boys have birthdays too

I realize I haven't posted any crafty projects lately ... not that they've been completely avoided but I just haven't felt them worthy of a showcase here where some rather uber-talented blogging friends visit and may see my efforts!
But I did enjoy a bit of time today with the wonderful feel of paper between my fingers ... making my younger brother Eton's 21st birthday card {March 1st, Teddy, have a really great day!} and feeling quite pleased with the end result. Simple but fun. Love the chipboard heart and letter! I really need to get back into scrapbooking like a madwoman soon, especially as we plan to do some serious renovation to our second floor this spring and I'll have to pack up my entire craft room for a few weeks. Oh, the trauma! What a process that's all going to be.

But tonight's a fun night for me ... my yearly dedication to the at-least-4-hour-long Academy Awards. I just hate to miss something that just might happen so I stick it out year after year, patiently waiting for the final Best Picture award and watching every moment in between. The house is clean, Sam's making dinner, and there's Cookies and Cream waiting in the freezer! I'm quite looking forward to it all.

you have such an eye! Am slightly jealous of your cardmaking ability, as I usually end up at Hallmark.

my first comment on your blog. I am like the "angie and jason" comment as I too usually end up at Hallmark. Love your blog you have such a gift of descriptive words so we can put ourselves right there with you.
