Henry was a little unsure at first (especially with Grandma ... ???) but he thought the moon hung with Grandpa right from the beginning. Grandpa's funny whistles and endless rides on Giraffe broke the ice immediately and they were instant friends. And after a few days he was up on Grandma's lap too for lots of snuggles and hugs and songs and clapping games ... it was so nice for me to see him bonding with his Chambers' grandparents, especially as most of their interactions of him has been through this blog while they've been away.
Walter, of course, was never lacking for snuggles too and it was so great for my parents to meet him when he is so young and new. I'm realizing that there is very few photos of Walt in this bunch (uh oh ... the dreaded second child syndrome already?!) but honestly it's simply because he was sleeping all the time! Yep, this baby's a hard one, that's for sure! Eating then sleeping on an almost perfect 3 hour schedule ... it's been quite a gift.
It's been a cold, snowy week here - now finally emerging to sun and warmth again - so I've just been hibernating and letting everything swirl around me as my days are filled with this one's feed and that one's nap. So the house and our meals were completely taken care of by my parents and what a luxury that was. Mum even pulled together a full Thanksgiving dinner (yum!) last Sunday and we were drooling over turkey sandwiches for days after ... love, love Thanksgiving and Christmas dinner leftovers!
We'll see Grandma and Grandpa next at Christmas and it will be so much more exciting now that Henry knows his grandparents ... and Walter will be a curious 3 month old by then ... so we're really looking forward to that visit! Thank you, thank you, Mum and Dad for coming out and being put to work here! We so appreciate it and I know both boys loved having you here as well!

It was great to see all those pictures and to hear an update. I'm so glad that Walter is into a routine; it makes it so much easier! Thanks, too, for the REAL email. I'll reply ASAP.
