beach days

My parents live only half a block from the most popular beach in Kelowna (imagine that!) so we made sure to get there early this morning for a few hours of sun and sand before all the crowds descended and it became too blistering hot. Henry fulfilled his wish to get as wet and sandy as possible, Walter dipped his toes in the lake for the very first time and I stayed in my beach chair with my book open and the camera close by which was exactly what I wanted! First day of holidays ... I think we've started out in the perfect way.

We're back to the beach again tomorrow, that's for sure ...
I'm only halfway through my book after all.
