We had a busy birthday-party-filled-day yesterday ... going to morning and dinner celebrations for two of our friends, a 3 year old and a 28 year old. My good friend Carol's daughter Olivia just turned Three and of course Carol pulled together a fabulous red-and-turquoise Olivia (the pig) party, finding treasures on Ebay and Etsy to fill the goody bags and decorate the room. Carol is Henry's absolute favorite person (one of mine too!) and so he wouldn't miss any chance to go to her house and spend time with her and her kids, Jake and Livi. I'm sure the highlight for him was the lollipop cookies that the kids heaped frosting upon and decorated with candies ... all the while dipping and licking the frosting spoon again and again. Classic Henry! I really enjoyed hanging out with my girlfriends over coffee and homemade mac 'n cheese (3 of the 6 of us are pregnant) while we all had a fun morning just spending time alone with our 2 or 3 year olds. Happy 3rd Birthday Livi, Happy 28th Mark and Happy 38th today as well to my big brother Cale!
