Our 4 day weekend now ... and sun expected all the way through! I took Henry and Walter out this morning planning to go to the Children's Farm at Beacon Hill Park but there was a long lineup as I suppose everyone else had the same idea. (Chance to hold some baby chicks and wee goats at Easter, right?) I didn't mind though as I had spied some fabulous tall ships docked at the Inner Harbour and thought we could check those out instead. So we had a fantastic time wandering around the Parliament Buildings (introducing the boys to my favorite statue of Queen Victoria), the Inner Harbour and a bit up Government Street. The classic tourist triangle but I never grow tired of it. The tall pirate ships were amazing, the fountain at the Parliament Buildings did manage to receive most of my pennies and nickels and dimes, and the chocolate bunny lollys at Rogers Chocolates were a perfect Easter treat. We stopped on the way home to sit and watch the skateboarders for a long while as that's currently one of Henry's four careers. As of late he's pretty certain he's going to be an airplane pilot, a skateboarder, a builder and a farmer when he's bigger. I love that! And of course Walter just gave me the exact same list about 10 seconds after Henry, little copycat. So a good Friday ... a Good Friday ... in and around Victoria.

Oh, that is one of my favourite areas, too! Glad you could enjoy the city and the sunshine and your boys all at the same time.
We were just thinking this morning at breakfast about how soon we'll be able to get back to Victoria and specifically the inner harbour. Your pictures are so nice - glad you had such fun!
