the great 6, here right now

This is us right now: a house full of 6 happy, crazy cousins for a couple of days. It's so fun to see how much they love each other and how easily they get back to playing together after a few months apart. This is the first time that Baby Grey has really joined the mix and, oh, how my three boys are loving him. They.adore.Grey. And Grey is totally adorable so I can see they just can't help themselves. This morning they had a lively, never-ending game of "Swimming Pool" … jumping each in turn off of Felix's bed to the blow up mattress on the floor. Soon there was judging, cannonballs, starfishes, and 'red cards/green cards' all while queuing up for their respective turns over and over and over and over. Such is the awesome games that 2 to 5 year old cousins conjure up. Catching crabs at the beach, decorating cupcakes, sleeping in closets and on the floor, dance moves through the sprinkler, a collection of bikes and trikes and wiggle cars to accommodate everyone, pirate dress-ups, and each cousin pair switching identities during meals at the table. No kidding, they called each other the right "wrong" names through the whole meal every time! Almost 6 years now since Isla and Henry were born 19 days apart and a lifetime more of fun yet to be had. These 6 crazy cousins are in for a great life together, that's for sure!
