what a month that was!

Well the World Cup is over. Henry switched to supporting Germany a week into it so he was ecstatic with their final win yesterday. Lots of exciting games, lots of nerve-wracking penalty shootouts, a major time out for one of our favorites "The Biter" Luis Suarez, the latest score being yelled to Mum wherever I was inside or out, sticker books getting filled up day by day, copycat team rivalries being played outside immediately after watching the games, and so much great global information being learned. Henry and Walter can spot any of the 32 flags and tell you which country it belongs to, that's for sure! And they've already calculated how old they will be for the next World Cup … something special to look forward to with their Dad again.

Hi Henry and Walter - so sorry England didn't win!
Maybe again in four years. Tell you Mum to keep the cupcake recipe and flags available. I like the new indoor soccer game - can I have a turn when we come to visit next?
