around here

Day by day around here. At least for me. Seems as though my only reasons/opportunities to get out of the house these days are for appointments. The Doctor, the hospital, our financial advisor, our lawyer ... fun times. Or I'll walk to the new Shoppers Drug Mart or take Henry to wander around Walmart in the evenings just to have somewhere to go and something to do. Really, I'm not complaining, just stating it as it is. Days are full anyways just getting from one feeding to the next and trying to successfully get him down for a daytime nap {not as easy as one would think for a stubborn, but still very sleepy, 7 week old!}

I have been going to a Moms and Me playgroup at our church on Wednesday mornings, chatting it up with friends my age and passing Henry off to other eager arms. And Henry and I get really excited when we plan to go into work to visit Katrina and the gang. The Christmas lights are up now in Memorial Park and so it's awfully pretty and Christmas-dreamy to wander through there on our way downtown. And for all these outings, I'm loving our UppaBaby stroller, best thing we've spent money on. I can pop our Peg Perego car seat right onto the stroller frame and tuck Henry into his snuggly zip-up cover and we're set. Love, love it.

In Henry's world ... he's busy ... sleeping with his cast on ... looking at his Baby Art cards ... getting aggressive with Brown Bear and/or yelling in his ear ... waiting at the back door for Mum and Dad to get in the car ... hanging out with Dad in the Baby Bjorn and somehow getting squished by Sophie in the process! ... going for winter walks with Mummy ... watching from the corner while Mum makes the bed ... and happily tucked into Dad's neck while being rocked to sleep. What a life!
