We took the boys to this weekend's Kite Festival and met up with a few friends there ... and after a long week of pounding, tireless rain we were treated to a gorgeous sunny Saturday finally. The kites were actually rather fantastic, an international and yearly event around here, and the whole set-up very well organized for kids and families. Henry spent a long time watching the kite shows with Daddy, meeting a few family dogs for pets and talks, meandering in the hay bale maze, eating half of Mum's delicious Saskatoon berry muffin, refusing a maple leaf tattoo, hanging out with his friends, and now, sleeping through the entire afternoon. Tired, sun-kissed boy that he is. It was fun for us to have a family outing together and I keep thinking ahead to what next year will be like .... with our
two little kite-chasers in tow!

Cool kites. Looks like you got some of that sun onto your cheeks. We had a gorgeous, warm, sunny day today, too. Great for Jeremy's birthday party at Selah. Will post pictures soon. Happy Saturday night to you all!
