celebrating eight

We spent our 8th Anniversary this year on Granville Island, in the heart of Vancouver. We actually stayed at the Granville Island Hotel for 3 nights as a treat and we could have simply stayed in the hotel the whole time and the boys would have been thrilled. Watching all the boats from our floor to ceiling windows, oh my, there was constant screeches and shouts of "Look, loooook!". So on this anniversary morning we took an Aquabus tour around False Creek and believe me there was lots more screeching and "Look Mum!" and pointing and identifying everything that moved! Good thing we were alone in the boat for a good portion of the time. Such a simple thing, that little boat ride, but it was a huge highlight for all of us. The boys loved it and Sam and I were able to sit there with our coffees basking in the beauty of City and Ocean, watching our children wriggle with excitement. Marvelling how far we've come in 8 years.

It was a good, good day.

I love the Vancouver skyline from the water. It's stunning.

Happy Belated Anniversary to you, Mr & Mrs Morgan!
