summer holidays

Home again after our 3 weeks holidays back to BC ... our yearly sojourn every summer since moving to the prairies in order to visit family and friends throughout Vancouver, Vancouver Island, and the Okanagan. All four of us had a fantastic time and yet we must jump back into a Monday again tomorrow. Sam back to work, Cass back to making meals and the boys back to putting up with just boring ol' Mum every day again. Instead of mornings spent at the beach or visits to the Aquarium and the Zoo or sleeping in fun hotels or playing with cousins or going swimming or watching boats and airplanes and helicopters go by. Yes, it's been quite a holiday, a real treat. And immensely more fun as the boys are getting more and more aware of this great adventure too. Yet, this evening, I'm quite simply exhausted from a very long day re-organizing, re-planning, re-stocking, trudging up and down stairs with five loads of laundry and all sorts of sundry items, and now overwhelmed by the 624 photos I finally uploaded. It's nice to be home ... but does it really have to be Monday tomorrow?

That does seem awfully unfair... If it were Saturday tomorrow, it would be a lot easier to cope with, wouldn't it?

Ease yourself into it. Don't try to do too much tomorrow!

Yes, it is Monday. But if it is any consolation, I'm back to work, too. Take your time! Don't feel like you have to do everything at once...
