It was Henry's school Christmas concert last night ... occasion enough to wear a fancy sweater, right? The theme of the concert was Around the World and Henry's Preschool class was given Mexico. So they donned their blanket ponchos, wore their homemade sombreros, and sang ever so sweetly
Feliz Navidad. Henry sang the loudest and the most earnestly ... he suddenly looked so little up there whereas I see him as so grown up otherwise. I took the boys myself as Sam was gone to Vancouver for a family memorial supper to celebrate his Grandpa Hunter's life, who had just passed away last weekend. Sam (and Nana and Grandad too) was so sorry to miss Henry's song but I took video and pictures throughout, though Henry ended up on the far side of the stage from me and so you have to look carefully to find him. Today was Henry's last day of school as he and Walter will start at a new school in January, with a new set of friends and new teachers. These past few months at Duncan Christian School have been really special for Henry and I know he'll miss this teacher he adores so much. I don't think the boys quite realize what big changes this next move will bring again but we'll quickly get into a routine and get settled in our new little house. I'm excited most of all, for me and for them, to get established in to their new school and to start making a community and friendships there. A school to stay at for a very long time ... I never had that growing up and so I am so very, very thankful to give that to our boys. And I can't wait for next year's Christmas concert, watching our
two wee men up there.

There's a little boy in my class who calls it Faleesh La-dee-da. Love it!
Christmas concerts are the greatest.
Oh, that is cute! I remember Jeremy's first Christmas concert; there's nothing like the first.
