practice parenting and the diaper dude

Lots done off the list this past week ... feels great! And I'm under strict orders to "rest, relax, and have fun" each day from my Doctor here at home and I'm certainly happy to oblige. No more painting for me ... I'm simply not allowed to help anyways! Trim and moldings are now cut, painted, and fully up in the guest room and around the bay window in our bedroom so that we can get our radiators back in later this week. Weather is gorgeous right now but we've felt the nip of autumn already and with the Baby a'coming it's certainly advantageous for us to have some heat to put on soon.

More Baby prep today too ... Sam installed the car seat and we had quite a moment sitting back and realizing that we'll be bringing home a little 'us' by the end of the month. All curled up and cute in that car seat. Probably crying - and that will be just the parents! Sam woke up on his day of days to a special present ... The Diaper Dude, a very manly diaper bag for the hip new dad. Even hipper that it comes in a brown tweedy herringbone style. My guy will be the best lookin' stroller pushin', diaper changin' (I said yes, that comes part and parcel with receiving this gift!!) dad in town. So we took the full ensemble out for a test drive around the lawn. And Sophie assures us the bassinet option to the stroller is pretty wonderful.
