I found this cute baseball style cap last night and so have been trying today to get him used to it. Sam and I even wore it for awhile to show Henry how cool we were! (He saw through that gimmick pretty fast.) So we resorted to pulling out the Cheerios ... and no foolin', he forgot the hat was on his head.
For awhile at least.
(sigh) Oh, Henry ...

I totally remember that!!! I had my mom sew a strap with velcro onto every single hat my kids had so they couldn't get them off...well at least not as easily!
Sharla
Duct tape....
Elsie still rips off all hats...only now she can speak and she'll usually say, "I don't need that hat now Mumma"....so we sometimes argue a bit and then she gives in when I threaten that she'll have to stay inside!
Some kids don't even care that the hat is there and some REALLY do!
Evan still won't wear a hat so good luck! Some kids just don't like them I guess. Evan's skin is so pale and I worry about him burning, so we just glob on the sunscreen & he now will wear sunglasses, so that is a plus. I feel your pain! But Henry is certainly adorable :-)
Poor kid;-) Sounds like you'll be slathering on the sunblock!
Russell hasn't minded hats (thank Jesus for this), but he hates to wear shorts because if he trips, he scraps his knees. I have to hide all his pants on hot days so he'll wear shorts;-)
Sam and Cass:
I noticed the hair that Henry is getting - neat. And love the hat - shouldn't it say 'John Deere' or something - given your Postal Code?
It is a tough go to get kids to wear their hats. Just keep putting it back on his head. He is so cute!!!!
