didn't i look like this last summer?

25 weeks today and The Belly continues to grow! I've only gained about 15 lbs so far but my girth's expansion (as well as my butt and legs this time!) continues to astound me. These photos really don't do it justice ... if I had the sweater off, you'd see that sometimes I look as big as with Henry in those last weeks! Good grief. I have a suspicion that I'm not going to feel quite as pretty going to Jeff and Shendah's wedding back home at the beginning of August as I did last summer on our BC holidays. Still, I certainly have no complaints and really love being pregnant. This Baby has been quite the spitfire already, kicking me much harder than Henry ever did at this stage - I wonder, should I be worried? Do you think that means a feisty boy or a high maintenance girl??

And to break the news of when this Baby will arrive ... we already have The Birth Date, unless of course I go into labour early. My c-section is already booked for Friday, October 2nd, right at 39 weeks. And yes, that's only 2 days after Henry's 1st birthday! So for the rest of their lives at least I'll have one day to rest up between their celebrations! I spoke to my surgeon a few weeks ago, wanting to get this surgery booked, as I explained to her that we had no family in the area and so wanted to arrange my sister's flight out to take care of Henry. Dr S was wonderful and promptly decided to book the section right then and there and we together chose the 39 week mark. (Plus, this has been a Friday baby, as Henry was a Tuesday baby from start to finish, and so I was really hoping for a Friday birth-day.) I'm so glad that's taken care of now but I must admit it does feel awfully strange to know what day your child will be born. Sam and I wonder aloud all the time now, is it a boy or is it a girl?, all the while thoroughly enjoying the suspense and the mystery. We can't wait to find out!
