So long friend.
You came into our lives
at just the right time.
You brought us lots of love and happiness
when we needed it the most.
And it just so happened that you
were a good luck charm!
You were a playful and affectionate friend and
you were so good around Henry.
Thank-you for being so patient with us
as we became busy parents.
You must have realized that we
were ready to welcome a new one into
the family and that your
purpose was accomplished.
But we sure wish you didn't have to go.
We love you and miss you.

We've been missing Sophie for the past 2 days ... and just found out a few hours ago that she was killed by a passing car at our intersection. Sam's now buried her in the backyard and we've been having a hard time of it since, saying goodbye.
I picked Sophie out from her family's litter at the pound in December 2007, the day after we found out my sister was expecting Isla ... and I just needed someone all my own to love. Turns out we became pregnant with Henry only 2 weeks later but Sophie was first and she was just what we needed!
Henry and her were just starting to get to know each other and we're sorry for that most of all ... that our kids will miss out on Sophie's love and attention and snuggles and shenanigans.
We will miss you, girl, so so much.
So, so, sorry, Cass. I remember losing my old cat and I was heartbroken for a long time.
Sophie really did fill a void in your life until Henry was realized and anticipated... Love to you as you miss her love and presence...
Oh Cass, such sad news. I know how much you loved your Sophie and how much happiness, laughter, affection, snuggles, and love she brought to your family when you needed it most. you gave her a home and though her time here was short her life was full; with all the things that only a family can give...a family of her very own!
I remember when you picked up your sweet new kitty and how excited you were...from then on she had your heart and you had hers.... Sophie was your special friend and I am so sad for you Cass.

oh Cass that is so sad...what a lovely poem that is about Sophie. Cats are so soft and playful...I still miss my Snowball every now and then. take care...
Cass, I'm so sorry to hear about Sophie. Our cat was sick last week and, for about 24 hours there, we thought he wasn't going to make it - and when I saw this post, I got all teary - I understand how much you can love a pet! I'll be thinking of you.

I'm sorry Cass, Sam and Henry, that your Sophie is gone. Life is bittersweet, isn't it?
Oh Cass, I am so sorry to hear what happened. It is so hard to lose a pet. My thoughts and tears are with you.
Oh Cass, I am so, so sorry! i remember when you got Sophie and all the stories you told us at work about her. A pet is a member of the family (whether some people get that or not) and I really feel for you.

oh cass, i'm so sorry to hear about sophie. she was such a sweet, little kitten. i loved those three days with her. reminded me of my little kittens growing up. she was exactly the kind of cat i'd like to again have one day. i'm really sad for you. liz
Cass, I'm really sorry to hear that Sophie was killed by a car. Such a sad way to go. You'll all miss her.
