I spent my quiet and childless moments this long weekend working on the hand stitching, something I find very relaxing and rewarding. It was so wonderful just to see it come together, inch by inch. And I must say thank you to my mother-in-law who helped/reminded me how to bind the quilt together while we were back on the Island this summer as Katrina had helped me with Isla's quilt at Christmas and I seem to have a very short memory with instructions sometimes ... not wanting to take a chance and mess it up on my own.
A little love gift to my dream girl ... or perhaps another dear girlie elsewhere if we are blessed with boys. In any regard, I'm satisfied. And I'm quite, very much, emphatically in love with it.

It looks great, Cass. I hope you'll have a wee girlie for that quilt!
Definitely keep this if Baby #2 is a boy. I've had a Raggedy Ann cross-stitch since Russell was in utero:-) Your quilt is beautiful.
It is beautiful! You are so crafty and talented. I leave the quilting to my mom. I am talented enough to pick out the fabric and that's about it!
And you ARE having a girl...remember my dream??
It is so beautiful Cass. I love the patterns and fabric. You are incredible!!! I can't believe you made a quilt! I am so excited to see if you will be having a girl or boy! It's really fun not knowing. It's fun to know we are having a girl, but I'd also love the surprise!!! Have a great last month!!! Liz

I always enjoy reading your blog...Henry is adorable.
All the best to you.
It looks beautiful, Cass! I was going to say...it doesn't look like it couldn't be for a boy, but when I clicked on the photos to enlarge them, yes, I suppose it's a bit girly. =) Hopefully you will get to make use of it someday!
Love it Cass. It turned out beautifully.
It is absolutely beautiful!
Love,
